In 1930, when the US economy was looking pretty bleak, the founders of The Norwood Agency, Inc., made a bold move – they opened an insurance agency! Sounds crazy, but because the company was based on a philosophy of service to its community, and respect for its customers, the agency thrived.

For more than 75 years, the Norwood Agency has served the Monmouth County community. We’ve grown to offer not only personal insurance, but commercial insurance and employee benefits as well.

Our employees are well trained and actively pursue continuing education to better serve our clients. Our clients range from families and individuals, to a variety of businesses, including manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, contractors, nonprofit organizations, medical and rehab facilities, and more.

Much of the agency’s growth has been because of its strong reputation in the community. People have come to know and rely on The Norwood Agency to protect their assets, but they’ve also come to know us as trusted advisors when it comes to planning for their future.
